Gus...in a flash

A friend, of whom I consider to be an exceptional source of all things photographic (among other talents), was showing me some flash photography, capturing ambient light. I probably should have turned down the flash a notch but dang, this was at 1/13th of a second. My hands shake like a hippie going through DTs, look how sharp this is. Renee, you light up my world, I tell ya!
BTW, Gus was not happy to be awakened by my curiosity, that's what kills 'em. No worries, he has a few more lives left.

She sells sea shells

I dunno, colored pix of shells are always expected. I changed it up to be black and white. You can really see the detail in the sand and the ridges on the shells. Now I want to do the "stoop and scoop".

Bike-riding Blues

Do you not love the blues in this old bike? I just wanted to jump on and take it for a roll! Because that is how I roll....low and slow...gravity is so unkind. I like to keep as close to the ground as possible.

morning has broken

This Pelican has the right idea. Don't you sometimes wish you could just fly across the sea? This was taken in Madiera Beach, Fl. Waaaay too early in the morning! It was worth the trip, however!

Sunflared sunrise

Playing with the camera, trying to capture some "sun flare", I came across this grouping of grass on the beach on Treasure Island, Florida. Even though it was a bit chilly, it made me feel all warm and fuzzy. I love this place!
